Not what I was expecting.
After listening to the music from Bloodborne I was excited to continue venturing through the soundtracks of FromSoftware games. I saw no better option than to revisit the music of the Dark Souls trilogy. Unfortunately I feel that this first entry's music hasn't aged as well as Bloodborne.
Don't get me wrong because the first Dark Souls has incredible songs and perhaps even the best theme of the entire trilogy. I just found the music a bit too safe for ... read more
Better than I remembered.
When I think about music involving Fire Emblem, I usually think of the tracks from Three Houses and Fates, where the most iconic melodies of the franchise reside in my opinion. Legendary.
I’ve been dragging my feet on this one for a while. I finished the first "Kingdom Hearts" at the end of 2023 and had been planning to review its soundtrack ever since. As you can see, I didn’t do it immediately. I was honestly a bit burnt out on the franchise after jumping straight into the sequel and several spin-offs right after the first game. Some years later, when I finally decided to sit down and listen to this OST, I feared that burnout would return. ... read more
