With "Broken", Nine Inch Nails started their nightmarish run, that will finally culminate in "The Downward Spiral". The sound design is effective, especially the intro sets the tone very well. The emotions, or mostly the pure anger, that is delivered in the tracks, lift this EP on another level.

Mit "Broken" begann Nine Inch Nails ihre, wenn auch relativ kurze, Serie von albtraumhaften Veröffentlichungen, die letztlich in "The Downward Spiral" gipfeln wird. Das Sounddesign ist großartig und sehr effektiv, was sich auf dem Intro ("Pinion") schon zeigt. Die Emotionen, oder eher die pure Wut, heben die EP auf ein ganz anderes Level.
