can this nigga taylor stop
Genuinely the worst album she's ever put out, filled with lackluster production and the most out of touch and immature lyricism of her career. She genuinely needs to take a hiatus after this, she should have taken one after TTPD. None of this matches the showgirl energy that was being advertised as it's just a boring slog instead that should have been kept long away in the vault. That perfect 100 scores from Rolling Stone genuinely have to be paid because this is a disaster.
I've never been the biggest Lovejoy fan, I liked many parts of their last EP, but it never fully clicked with me in the way that I wanted to. When the lead single of this album released, it was an immediate love and every subsequent single was a further step in the right direction to a great album, and this truly did surprise me on how good of an album this is. It's their most polished, driven, professional piece of work yet and I love it.
It's not the most revolutionary album, ... read more
"it must be nice to be a man and make boring music just because you can" is such an ironic line considering this track is so painfully boring to listen to
I get what they're trying to go for in having that classic experimental indie rock sound, and some times it can sound good but it sounds so cluttered and messy most times and I don't know why aoty will eat up anything that tries to sound like this even if it's executed lacklusterly.
this is really good it feels almost unnerving but in a good way and im hyped for the album
Really wish drag path was on the album and I hope it gets added to streaming soon, but it's an absolutely beautiful song that ties well into the lore and shines an amazing light on Tyler's faith and I am waiting for the day this gets added to streaming
To preface, I've been the biggest fan of this band ever since Vessel released. I've defended every single album with my life, but this is an album I struggle to defend at many points, and which I feel manages to have some of the best songs in their discography, yet is overall their weakest album yet.
It's hard to write a perfect finale album to wrap up 10 years of lore, and Clancy felt like a perfect set up for a killer final project to wrap it all nicely. It takes a grittier ... read more
the added songs were all really good except for the dead dance because it's so generic and boring and terrible, but the rest are good
I think the folk direction they went is pretty good but they really need to change something about the songwriting because the songs are sonically never that bad, it's just the really on the nose writing that holds them down. Not terrible but not amazing either. The last track sounds like a better version of thirsty because of the dumbass weird speaking sample throughout the song
Took a second listen but this album is really such a vibe, even though SWAG has some amazing tracks like DAISIES and YUKON, this feels a lot more cohesive as an album and I've found myself liking a lot more tracks than I did on SWAG 1. Really good stuff, took a little bit to click with me.
ORIGINAL RATING: 55
pretty solid, same as his previous singles, i like the first song but the second is usually pretty forgettable. eat me alive is good, it feels very similar to i like the way you kiss me though
