a really flawless album with amazingly mixed instruments, extra points for dave grohls drumming and the drum intro on song for the dead

i only have two words for this review.

MUST LISTEN.

this might be in my personal opinion, deftones' magnum opus. very strong album opener that really sets the tone for the rest of the album being sort of dark, mysterious and kind of eerie. (if you don't count back to school) nasty stankface riffs that can go to sad and melancholic riffs, solid drumwork from abe the whole album, and of course the whiny but super horny and addicting vocals from the man himself, chino moreno, mix for a very timeless album overall.

i think this album is very stupid, but in a good way. it's a good example of the nu-metal genre, and some songs unironically are very tasteful on this album like leech, pollution and counterfeit. very fun first album!
