Another classic addition to Laufey’s catalogue. Nothing too bad about this album, definetly poppier and more playful vibe than Bewitched but she still doesn’t really change anything sonically or creatively compared to her previous projects. Don’t get me wrong, I love Laufey (I read feminist literature and 6’3 btw) but I’m starting to itch for something that feels a little different from her usual vibe. It’s only a matter of time before this ... read more
Guys, I’m afraid I actually really like loser core.
I respect it for being so influental in the hip-hop sound and reinventing what rap can sound and feel like but that being said I didn’t enjoy the record thaaaaat much. At least not as much as his other records or as much as other people glaze it. It was a solid recors with some really hard-hitting songs, but it was let down by a lot of empty, more boring songs like Say You Will and Bad News. Still mostly a good record though with a few classics and favourites. Just no songs that stand out ... read more
Suprising how little this EP is talked about it considering it’s LITERALLY one of his best works and has 2 of the most beautiful songs ever.
Favourites: Streetcar, Show No Regret
I understand why out of all of Radiohead’s work, this is the depressing one.
Just as the last 3 songs of the album were possibly the best 3 song run on an album in all of Jazz Rap, I think if this man drops one more album like this he hands down may create the greatest 3 album run in hip-hop since the college trilogy.
This is so different from what I normally listen to but omg i love it so much. 😍😍😍
Album was nothing special and beats were pretty uninspired and bland.
This man really redefined what JAZZ rap is. Like he aint just using repeated jazz samples or beats and rapping over it, no offense to people like ATCQ or Nas I mean jazz rap is my favourite genre. BUT I MEAN COME ON, THIS IS NOT JUST jazz rap this is JAZZ rap. MY MAN IS LITERALLY PROSUCING FULL BEAUTIFUL JAZZ SONGS THAT WOULD BE 10/10 ALREADY STANDALONE BUT HOLY SHIT. The bars, the rhymes, the extra production, his rapping voice, the lyrics, the singing. LIKE NAJSHRBEJAJWAAAA. This just feels ... read more
I swear every time this man drops, he invents a new genre of hip-hop and style of production.
AND ITS FUCKING AWESOMEEE.
Not a huge fan of a lot of the ambient electronic noise that fill up most of the songs and I prefer the ones with more piano use. But DAMN the ones that hit really hit.
Favourite: New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down
