Billy Joel - 52nd Street
73

short and underwhelming. Exepected more from 52nd street based on how well his last 2 projects were, but no :( this did not live up. Plenty of great songs and many easy listen forgettable upbeat feeling songs. Feels too unsure of itself in what it's trying to deliver and I feel like that's where it fails. The good songs on the album are very good though.
Favourite: Honesty

Billy Joel - Turnstiles
84

Very fun and enjoyable listen by Billy Joel. I do wish the songs were in better quality though, especially Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway). That song honestly carried the album.

Billy Joel - The Stranger
91

Honestly love this album so much. The more I listen and relisten the better it gets. I swear. Please give Billy Joel a try.

Daniel Caesar - Freudian
88

Daniel Caeser's singing, production, and instrumentals create the perfect soothing experience and this album defines what "at ease" feels like.

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS
77

I did not think I was going to like this record but I was pleasantly surprised. I was not feeling it at the start but after NO HANDS I was really starting to get into it and damn this record even got a few playlist worthy bangers. Considering I hate most EDM and hyper music this was a very epic listen.

Car Seat Headrest - Teens of Denial
91

I too feel like a teen of denial.

J Dilla - The Shining
67

some good beats, some bad ones, some legendary ones, but mostly mid ones. A bit disapointed :(

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
94

So fucking loud with constant sound, extensive overproduction and noise, noise, noise, NOID. I fucking love this record and asserts Tyler in my top 3. You really just can't beat peak Tyler. It feels to chaotic but isn't and creates the sound of a perfect summer. You really do not get a single fucking break with this thing and I hope we never do get one from Tyler. fuck anyone who says gnx was better, chromakopia clears, shut yo bitch ass up

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
83

Definitely his most hype album. Just too much crazy fun beats for me. Trap just ain't my thing and his jazz beats and less intense but deep songs are the ones that leave an impact on me. Please make more background singing, trumpets, saxs and piano beats with crazy lyrics.

Tyler, The Creator - Flower Boy
86

Just doesn't stand to his other work. It feels like he's playing it too safe and not enough creative completely new sounds and concepts tyler that I love. Doesn't have the rawness on top of beautiful beats that WOLF has. Just a great album to me. Nothing more.

Chet Baker - Chet Baker Sings
89

Chet Baker definetly knows how to sings and he better keep on doing it.

Benny the Butcher - Tana Talk 3
83

Very menacing and sometimes eerie but sophisticated beats mixed with some good ass classic gangsta rap bars makes this a classic.

Favourite: Joe Pesci 38

Modern Baseball - You're Gonna Miss It All
75

I’d say Sports is better but this recors was also pretty good. Lyrics could be a bit better and more refined. Still whiny and virgin as hell though. Just how I like it.

Westside Gunn - FLYGOD
86

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR SKRRRRT AYOAYOAYO BRABRABRABRAAAA, a grotesque disgusting album cover and group of hoodlums rapping over some of the most beautiful beats known to mankind. Gangsta Rap is at it's peak. GRISELDA

Radiohead - In Rainbows
94

Wasn't the masterpiece I was expecting but a still a solid addition to the Radiohead discography.
edit: it grew on me guys. 89>94

Common - Be
87

KANYE COOKED, ATE, AND LEFT NO CRUMBS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

As you can tell, I think the instrumentals and beats on this project are amazing and just as good as a lot of the early tracks Kanye produced from the college trilogy. It was a bit hard for me to adjust hearing Common on these beats but he had his own style on them and I think he did well. I personally wanted more faster paced rapping with cool rhyming schemes (Kanye) but his slower, chill rapping with his soothing voice ... read more

SZA - Ctrl
74

A bit of a boring rnb record and definetly did not live up to the hype but I still kinda liked it. Has some highlights and definetly shows off SZA's talent I just don't think it's been used to the full extent on this album. The first and 3 and last 3 tracks I think are the best but the rest od the album sort of gets repetitive and puts me to sleep.

A Tribe Called Quest - We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service
85

This album is like a definition of hit or miss. There's so many songs on this record that I LOVED and a lot that were mid. I would still probably consider it to be ATCQ best album but I was really hoping for only 1 or 2 misses after the first few songs but they just kept coming sadly. Also Jack White, Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest and Elton John has gotta be the craziest collab I've ever seen that for the most part worked!?!?

Favourite: Dis Generation
Least Favourite: Kids...

Laufey - Bewitched
91

Yes it's repetitive and sometimes you could say "bland" but holy fuck it works so well for me. The lyrics are pretty, the singing is beautiful, the piano an guitars are so nice and when she brings in the fucking background vocals and orchestra type shit you know the song's boutta climax.
