this song is so good that it brought me out of AOTY retirement

I love Jack’s synthpop style to death, although some songs feel unmemorable and lacking. however, when this album is good, it’s GOOD.

favourite track: I Understand - 9.8/10

everybody thinks this is trying to be super edgy, emo and all, but this is about as edgy as Will Wood, calm down y’all
aside from that, Chonny’s lyrical genius is good enough to fix Special, and he has a distinct taste for acoustic/electronic blending, but he genuinely makes it sound good. I love this album - it’s edgy and emo but I love it.

favourite track: The Soul Eclectic - 10/10

near utter perfection. perfectly expresses topics relevant in a lot of peoples’ lives, and as an album, it makes all of these problems fall into a category of normality and society’s distaste for the abnormal.
