This is significantly better than Is This It.

JP Cooper - Raised Under Grey Skies

This is one of the most boring and uninspired albums I've ever heard.

Colter Wall - Imaginary Appalachia

An impressively consistent debut album from one of the most promising young stars in country music.

Kanye West - Yeezus
100

A far cry from the sound of The College Dropout, Yeezus is an abrasive but captivating masterpiece complete with incredible song writing and ridiculously inventive production that emphasizes the creative genius of Kanye West

Genesis Owusu - Smiling With No Teeth
90

This album is just ridiculously good AND its a debut album which just makes it more insane. There are very few albums that are able to seamlessly transition between different styles but SWNT does it extraordinarily well. Owusu goes from pop-rap to death grips-esque industrial hiphop effortlessly and then throws in some soul music just for the hell of it. For a debut album it's just mindblowingly good.

Young Thug - Punk
65

Thug continues to show why he's one of the most creative forces in the music industry.

Incredibly underrated. Bronson is at his best with oil slick flows, clever wordplay, and gorgeous beats. The silky production paired with Bronson's most consistent song writing to date make for an incredibly enjoyable listen.

Kanye West - Donda
85

While it could do with some refinement, Donda is another complex stop on Kanye's musical evolution. Ranging from beautiful to haunting, Donda is Kanye's attempt at reconciling with the absence of his mother and his relationship with God.
