I can’t say I’ve hugely revisited this album in full after it’s release, but I was really struck by the raw, vulnerable Young Lean we see on this project - as even though his singing is rough at times it pulls through with the emotion and passion on every song. It’s not entirely polished, not entirely cohesive but enjoyable and makes you feel something that a perfect radio voice could never encapsulate.

This isn’t necessarily a “bad” album by any means, just disappointing entirely for me. Travis sounds pretty sleepy for the majority of this album, the beats aren’t really anything special and it just is average in every meaning of the word. Needed to be far far shorter, more refined and focused, and have some hunger and energy in it which is evidently missing from this track list. I think sofaygo lowkey has the best performance on this album.

Absolutely phenomenal to me, idk what it is but I genuinely love it Nettspend is a top 10 artist for me easy
I thoroughly enjoyed this project, despite the fact that it was primarily listened to on broken apple wired headphones after days of hiking. The soundscape created through the fusion of R&B, indie and soul blends exceptionally with Dijon’s vocals, and I especially love being able to recognise Mk.Gee’s now iconic guitar production. It really feels like a huge moment for the genre, and I feel lucky to have been a part of it. I luck forward to further listening of projects like ... read more
I think this album will go down as an electroclash rage magnum opus, in a fresh new take on rage with some of the craziest beats I’ve ever heard, crazy hooks and even a banger feature from danny brown. I don’t listen to this album as much as others from this year, but I really think it’s the best. Whenever I’m in the mood it hits like crazy it’s some of the most turnt music I’ve ever heard.

This album hasn’t had time to fully sit me with me, but off the back of only 2 listens this has been one of the most enjoyable projects this year. Around a year ago Earl Sweatshirt was my favourite rapper ever, and this album really reminded me why. The vibes are so chill, his voice floats on these beats and it’s so soothing and relaxing. I love his production and style and I’ll need to listen to more of his stuff but this is genuinely one of my favourite recent albums from ... read more
I can’t lie this was disappointing, tyler the creator becoming washed is sad to see but this has a few groovy beats but it’s nothing special really and not what I would expect or want to hear from the same man who made CMIYGL, Igor and Flower Boy

I definitely think there’s second track is better, nettspend sounds pretty raspy and out of breath on stressed but it’s still catchy and the beat is gas and then her friends is just fire icl, I think he’s really in his bag on that one as if I wanted straight rage I’d listen to rest in bass lowkey
I actually cannot fathom how this has managed to pull an 83, I’ve actively listened to Tyler for maybe three years now and can wholeheartedly say I practically never listen to any songs of this shit other than maybe sticky or thought I was dead. The beats on a good number of songs here are actually ass, like him got washed by tiktok in the first month, the “lyrical” content is boring and lacks anything that stuck with me or any overarching storyline. I seriously feel like the ... read more
Unironically this might have been the best first listen of the year, I didn’t expect this album to be nearly this good. To me, this is genuinely an elite tier of underground rap albums and probably has a solid top 3 spot in my books. It has this absolutely explosive energy from the first track, the beats are all fucking mental, his vocals are crazy for the duration of every song and this energy is maintained to a crazy level. Looking at this tracklist, there are very very few skips which ... read more
I feel like this is getting a little glazed here, but honestly I think it deserves the attention - the vibe of the production is so lit and certain songs are genuinely so good and hold a sound I completely didn’t expect. I think it needs to be more fleshed out, and I think the rapping could be more engaging at times but honestly it’s so much fun so who cares.
