Thanks for the recommendation @nagi111910!!
So, my overall impressions of the album are pretty... average.
On one hand, I’m not a big fan of the artist's voice, which sometimes completely ruins the enjoyment for me. Though, occasionally, it sounds pretty good in certain tracks. Anyway, it’s a matter of taste, and I won't judge anyone who likes it.
On the other hand, there's the music. I love the instrumental part in almost every track. It’s unique, cool, and ... read more
It still genuinely blows my mind that "Ввхтёрам" was the only song popular in my social circle, considering there are so many incredible gems of Ukrainian music here! There are some silly tracks, sure, but there are also incredibly melodic, tender, and heartbreaking ones!
Boombox is an absolute classic, love them
In short, I can't say I was thrilled with this album. I used to quite like it, but now... No.
The beginning is pretty upbeat and good, but towards the end, the quality and drive drop off, vanishing, and everything turns into a dull, boring mass that was a drag. I could barely force myself not to skip a single track.
The best songs on this album, I'd say, are: Sayonara and Red Out. I also like Kick Back, but probably only because I watched and read Chainsaw Man. If I hadn't ... read more
The album still sounds amazing, even after all these years. It feels like my brain is being roughly caressed, and I’m just absolutely thrilled by it. This is exactly what you expect to hear when you hear the name Korn. I could say I got what I expected, but honestly, I got even more. )
The way Jonathan constantly jumps from growling to whispering and groaning, and then into a full-on scream, completely blows my mind every single time. I fucking love these moments in Korn tracks. (Lmao, I ... read more
At times the songs sound cringey, to be honest. They caught the last train in 2019 by releasing this album, because then the music started to change dramatically.
A very atmospheric album. Back when the grass was greener and the sky was open.
Now, listening again, I can say that this album gives me an incredible sense of nostalgia and calm, even though I'm quite anxious in real life (for example, I don't feel at home or 100% safe anywhere I live after I had to move). Back then, in my past life, this album seemed simply cozy. Now, with the old world left behind, it has become a kind of cultural code, connecting me to a version of myself that ... read more
Well, yeah, it's the music of childhood, it's just like that... After the rather sad first album, this one is more full of life. It's awesome.
The only thing I don't understand, as I think everyone else who listened to Vremya i Steklo does, is why they had to shove old tracks from the previous album into this one. They could have just made the album shorter.
But back then, back in 2014-2015, when most of the singles from this collection were released, I didn't care at ... read more
Let me rage for a bit.
Basically, this album isn't bad, but it's not great either. It’s literally exactly what you would normally expect from ITZY. They aren't doing anything new, but they aren't breaking anything old either. Well, classic kpop.
Alright, so while the album as a whole sounds like a typical album for this group, it fucking pisses me off that they released it under the guise of a full-length album when in reality it's just a mini-album, where ... read more
This isn't Korn-level stuff, it's incredibly boring, save for a few decent tracks. Otherwise, it's a completely boring release, which is completely unworthy of attention
I absolutely adore the fact that when I listen to this album again, I can also rewatch the movie at the same time
About The Boy Who Knew Too Much I can say practically the exact same thing I said in my review of Life in Cartoon Motion.
It is one of the most incredibly kind pieces of work I have ever heard. It’s warm-hearted, it’s vibrant, and it makes you want to dance. Before you even realize it, you find yourself singing along to one song or another. At the same time, these songs aren’t meaningless, unlike half the slop artists are releasing these days. These tunes are good and sweet, ... read more
I feel so sorry for Mika. Sorry in the sense that, for some reason, so many people have completely forgotten about him, even though he writes amazing music that, theoretically, should have stuck in people's heads for a long time.
As of right now, I only know two people who actively listened to Mika (myself and someone I’m no longer in touch with). And that makes me sad.
Mika truly deserves way more attention than he ended up getting and is still getting.
His songs are kind, really ... read more
I'm writing this review right as the song "Daddy" is finishing.
And you know what I can say? Honestly, the album started out pretty boring, which was quite disappointing, to be honest. But towards the middle and end, there were more good songs.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't say the experience was interesting or anything like that. The album as a whole is pretty boring, compared to, say, Life is Peachy. It's boring both lyrically and sonically, in my opinion. But I hope ... read more
75- --> 30
I don't know what I was thinking giving this album anything over 30/100 score last year, because it's just so bad.
I've never really considered Carti to be anything special, and now I'm convinced of that once again. This man irritates me more with his music, sorry. Even the feat with Kanye didn't help him win me over again. It's just bad, just bad.
I think I've simply outgrown this sound (and thank God I did, lol), because listening to this is ... read more
