If every song was called Nookie and was also by Limp Bizkit it’d be a 10/10
Honestly, my main issues with this album don’t come from the production, or the way the snare sounds (in isolation, at least.) The real problems with this album are how LONG it is, in combination with the whole album feeling really confused on what it’s trying to be.
You see, the rougher production and trash can snare aren’t INHERENTLY bad ideas, in a vaccum. There are a lot of slam bands and such that have stuff like this, and they work because the songs are structured in a ... read more
Genuinely some of the most raw, unfiltered music I’ve ever heard, helps drown out the bad thoughts
“1, 2, eat my fuckin poo” ass song

I used to love this album, but I think most of my enjoyment of it came from the fact that this was the final time we ever heard Chester’s voice on an album from the band and I was very sentimental about it.
But after revisiting this album, it’s mostly pretty lame honestly.
Outside of Chester’s gorgeous vocal performances, most of the songs here are laughably basic and generic, and the instrumentals here do not hit on the same level of their previous works, not ... read more
Out of morbid curiosity I checked this out and
I’m ngl this isn’t nearly as shockingly bad as I thought it was gonna be this is just really boring tbh
This song is such a fucking disasterpiece that it loops back around to being incredible, I can’t believe my ears
…Wow
I’d normally have some stupid joke to make but this? This is genuinely so bad I have nothing to even joke about with it.
It’s possibly the creepiest, most horribly produced, soulless, absolutely abhorrent album I’ve ever heard. EVER. This is a genuine contender for the worst album I’ve ever heard in my life, and that’s a genuine fucking accomplishment.
Every single second of this album is so depressing, and so awful sounding that it’s not even ... read more
Oh my god guys, it’s like death grips before death grips!!!!
The Downward Spiral is an album that CHALLENGES you as a listener, but in the end is so rewarding that it makes it all worth it. Most of the songs on this album (Aside from Closer and Hurt, which are amazing songs in their own right) are so harsh, with all these industrial noises clashing against one another that it can sound pretty unpleasant to hear at times, but it’s all by design. It WANTS you to experience what our ... read more

Yeah I take back most of what I said, this thing is an absolute slog from start to finish (the title track is pretty decent though)
Check it out
I'm in the house like carpet
And if there's too many heads in my blunt I won't spark it
I'll put it in my pocket and save it like rocket fuel
'Til everybody's gone and it's cool
Then I spark it up with my brother
His momma named him Mo, but I call him Mo' Lover
And he's more than a cover, he's a quilt
We're putting shit together like that house that John built
On the hill, 'cause this shit's gonna feel like velvet, ... read more
Yeah, it's overplayed as shit
But it's genuinely one of the most simple yet hard-hitting songs I've ever heard in my life, there's a REASON this song is played so much.
This actually sounds like a fucking BOTDF song
I hate it
