JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version)

This album was something, it's sounds so soft and nice on the ears while in the same time sounding aggressive, this is something I aspire to be production-wise, it's just amazing.
It has those reverbed samples that aren't hard on the ears at all and twists those samples into something aggressive while still keeping the soft melody in those samples through that incredible drumming and bass work that made me fall in love with this album
His flow fits the instrumentals, though ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
100

The time has come. This is one of the first concept albums ive ever listened to do and I have to say it might have just spoiled me, this album feels like an emptionally driven film full of reflection, growth and a curiousity for the future and what happens next, like someone looking into their own lives and realizing its intricacies, which fills them with gratitude for those experiences and the future in general, This album is perfect in its imperfections, to me and to many others, it's ... read more

Death Grips - The Powers That B
70

This is the second album I fully listened to do by death grips, it's weird, and I don't exactly know how I feel towards it or what I should feel towards it.
The rating's probably going to change as I go into Mc Ride's lyricism more and more, and how and why certain songs are made but alas.
To me, atleast right now, the double album from front to back feels like a very exhausting and demanding listen which doesnt end on a high note which I guess is something I value a lot of ... read more

TV Girl - Who Really Cares
61

I forgot to save the review like 3 times alreeady and i cba writing it again
I liked the production on a lot of the songs
didnt really care much about the lyrical content
dont fw the manipulative nature of the singer
some songs go on for way too long too

JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU
100

I love this
I dont actually think I'll ever get to experience something similiar to this
It's such a wierd blend of rock, metal and even funk
In one song you get metal with trap lyricism and the other you get a danceable beat then after that rapping after a soul sample and after that electronic synths this man is actually unreal
I do feel like I enjoy the end a bit less than the rest of the album but if this cauldron pot isnt a 10 for me idk what is

The Money Store is the first and most commercially successful album made by the experimental hiphop band Death Grips, which are now notorious for their provocative and harsh soundscape with the loud and harsh vocals of MC Ride being the symbol of their soundscape. Most of the times it's either the listener really hates the soundscape and album in general or they fall in love with it. And personally I think I'm part of the latter.
Death Grips' ugly soundscape along with Mc ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
95

IGOR is the fifth studio album by the one of a kind artist that is Tyler, the creator and marks a huge point in his transition from the edgy, talented yet rather brass musician to the shining beacon of creativity both musically and lyricially that we know today. Tyler already kind of started experimenting with production and rapping styles in 2013 with ScumFuck/ Flowerboy being a breakthrough in his musical career through the use of soft yet expressive music combined the his way tamer ... read more
