This definitely feels like a deftones album, but not that that’s a bad thing
The instrumentals can be stripped away from this album and the vocals will make it just as mesmerizing as it was before.
A bit too predictable for my taste and it doesn’t feel all the while worth it to listen to. However a large amount of moments feel very impactful instrumentally.
Some of Godspeed's angriest material to date, at times even sounding like an album released by Boris, but in the best way possible.
A bit underwhelming considering how amazing some of the singles were. While it still has a couple stunning moments, aside from the singles, scattered throughout the record, a large amount feels slightly uninteresting and more like filler than anything else.
Perhaps a little too abstract at times, but still so so gorgeous for a Mac Miller album.
Definitely not a release I had super high hopes for, but its release was overall a decent experience with some mildly enjoyable moments.
Maybe not as much fun as their previous LP but still a whole WHOLE lot of energy with a slight amount of corniness in the lyrics 🤏
A very unique and emotional experience with some truly beautiful writing. This album creates a feeling of warmth that I feel is so hard to find in other projects for me.
While it can feel more drawn out than other Godspeed albums, the highs off G_d's Pee are genuinely mindblowing.
More bangers than duds but this definitely wasnt The Alchemist’s best work, Freddie went hard tho
The vocals are beautiful, the instrumentals are fun, and even though there’s a language barrier for the most part of the album, there’s still some emotional moments that did get to me with every listening experience that I had.
I definitely enjoyed this record more than i thought. However, the bar was pretty low considering I’ve never been too big of a fan of laufey’s music. BUT if you ARE a fan of laufey then you really have no reason to not like this album.
Other than the second out of, what i believe is, three acts within the album taking a turn for an R&B rap fusion that doesn’t feel the best placed for a JID album, this record still managed to blow my mind with astronomical highs and some of my favorite writing from him.
