I've heard of this band before but never listened to them, so I gave this album a shot and I like it alright. I thought the first half was pretty good, but the second half gets bogged down with too many slow, samey songs. Checked this out because of Cyberpunk. It's not like that song at all, not that I was expecting it. Instead, this is pretty much some standard indie pop rock with a couple of jangly songs, other than July, which stands out as the most interesting track, and Heart to Heartbreak is very catchy. Isaac brock sure does have a way with words. It feels like there's a bit of every era of Modest Mouse here. The singles are a bit of Good News/We Were Dead, especially Look How Far. Speak 'N Spell sounds like a sequel to Trailer Trash and Song About Nothing is like an inferior Shit Luck to me. Pretty much no skips other than the short unnecessary interludes.
