I'm not denying how heavy and treacherous the album sounds but I found it to have very little dynamics which led to the brutality run a bit stale.
Daughters has always been a nasty band but here it's outright fucking repulsive. The riffs are so twisted and deformed like they are actively trying maim you and the lyrics... OH MY GOD THE LYRICS. The Fuck Whisperer is the only song I've heard that made me want to throw up. I like the insanity the insanity brought by Canada Songs and Self Titled but this middle point is straight up offensive.
I've avoided doing this review despite Quadeca being one of my favorite artist ever. Ever since this released I had conflicted opinions about it. I can see why a lot of people say this is overrated. I get a similar experience as listening to FMTY where the production apart from some moments carries above Quad's at times cringy performance. With all the underground constantly trying to experiment by genre-blending or pushing the genre's boundaries, a project as straight forward as this is oddly enough refreshing. Just some hard ass 1 bar jerk loops and devilish flows with that hard ass scouse accent for 20 minutes is enough for a great, replayable record.
