Is it crazy to prefer "A Light for Attracting Attention"? In all honesty, I do really enjoy this album on its own, but it's super hard to separate it from its predecessor, especially when I listened to it first. When I first heard this album in 2024, the chilling atmosphere really did it for me, but I felt like that was the ... read more
Some of Conductor Williams' best stuff on the first half, but that doesn't even matter. Rome Streetz could make a rudimentary beat sound like Mozart.

The way he effortlessly flows and combines insanely sharp lyricism with crazy quotables shows me time and time again that this guy is not to be fucked with. Who tf is saying 'Got bitches like a sorority... First ho I had down, met ... read more
In the words of Muney Capri himself, it's MUD SZN !
I discovered Muney Capri in February of 2025 with his single "Weird" coming up in my TikTok recommended feed. Since then I have exchanged a few DMs with the kid and he seems like a pretty genuine guy. What I get most from Muney Capri though is that he's constantly trying to create a cool experience for his fans. During the rollout of this album, the promotional videos were super high quality and he put a TON of effort into ... read more
I wrote this review a little less than a year ago (Winter 2024) and just kept it in the notes app, but I stumbled across it the other day and thought that maybe I should post it

My mom was a bit curious why I had to take the car out for a spin at roughly 12:15 AM, but I said "I can't listen to this delectable album on my airpods ma" and she understood.
I do feel like there is some element of age here. The ... read more
This is high quality cloud rap, but, apart from some standout tracks, nothing on this truly blows me away to another dimension. It's simply above average, but I'm not coming back to too many songs other than OBVIOUS instant classics like Back Home or Freewave Freestyle 4. Nevertheless, the more Lucki I listen to, the more I "get" his appeal.
My favorite song is most definitely Freewave Freestyle 4, which sort of stands out from the rest of these songs due to its repetitive ... read more

What exactly I mean by that is this is the product of many years of experimentation and extreme hard work. Okay so ypically, it's hard to make albums flow well, ANY album. I would think even more that THIS project would have trouble with that because ... read more

Either the music is way too loud for me to hear what he's saying or he's mumbling so quietly that it's almost as if he doesn't even want me to hear him. On average, I could make out a total of around 5 words from each song. That doesn't even matter, though, because the point of this music is less the words and more the ... read more

What we have here is not at all a "rage" album. There are no issues with that necessarily, but it is not really keeping to what it was sort of advertised as. It's oftentimes lighthearted, finding itself leaning far more into pop appeal than anything else. For much of the album, I thought I was ... read more

To be completely honest, this took two listens to actually make sense. The first listen was tiring, just so boring and I couldn't get into any of her melodies. However, I now understand after a relisten that this is soul with a SERIOUS focus on solid hooks to the point where this is basically an R&B/Pop crossover. More than half of each of the ... read more

Rest in peace, Ryan Karazija. This is my first Low Roar album and I put it on this morning because I wanted something soft and gorgeous. This was definitely the latter, but it was a lot heavier than I thought coming into it. A lot of the themes feel melancholy rather than hopeful for the future, and I found that aspect really compelling. Alex G accomplishes something here that I feel hasn't been recognized nearly enough. Of course, this album has minor critical acclaim, but we should really be examining it more. I mean, some of this content is remarkably deep. So, on this album, Alex G of course unleashes his immaturity, but the ironic part is that, ... read more
