Great production, great lyricism, great message. I find that the message does occasionally get muddled with misdirected "blame," but not enough to dock down the whole project. I also think that the braggadocio on this album is particularly unhelpful to the message, which is my main reason for it not being higher. All of the songs on their own are pretty good, although quite simple. However, put together, they are a bit repetitive and boring.

McKinley Dixon is criminally underrated

Imma be honest, I always feel like Eminem brings out the worst in JID. I felt like that on Fuel, I feel like that even more on here. The lyrics on here are technically good, but for the most part lack any real substance or anything. It's another tick on the regular trend of Eminem sacrificing on concepts to deliver cheap wordplay and gloating, and JID seems to be following in his footsteps on tracks like this (not in general, just on their collabs).

This took me forever to warm up to, but now that I have, it's incredible.
