[THE WILDERNESS - ALBUM 12]

Rich gospel samples, gnarly guitar riffs, thumping pianos, and a good splash of trip hop; Play was always going to work for me. A distinct sound permeates throughout the entire album: its clean, upbeat, and dynamic, without being too clean, upbeat, or dynamic. Not all perfect, but the weaker stuff doesn't stick around for long. Definitely an essential for any fans of idm.

Honey - Great way to solidify the album's soundscape. (7/10)

Find My Baby - (7/10)

Porcelain - This is what frutiger aero sounds like. (8/10)

Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? - This was the song that made me listen to the album. Exceptionally mournful and hopeful - it holds the dichotomy in a beautifully reserved manner. (9/10)

South Side - A song with verses and guitar solos this cool deserves a much better chorus. (5/10)

Rushing - Would have liked it if there was a little more going on. (6/10)

Bodyrock - Consider my body rocked. (7/10)

Natural Blues - (7/10)

Machete - Big fan of the ending. (7/10)

7 - Nothing song. (5/10)

Run On - FIRE!!! (9/10)

Down Slow - Nothing song #2: new and improved. (6/10)

If Things Were Perfect - Now entering the album's twilight zone. (7/10)

Everloving - Beautiful. (8/10)

Inside - (7/10)

Guitar Flute & String - It most certainly is. (6/10)

The Sky Is Broken - (7/10)

My Weakness - "*unintelligible* you aaare dogshit..." (7/10)
