I thought I'd start my AOTY career off strong by reviewing what is (at least at time of writing) my favourite album of all time.
I probably first listened to it in 2021??? I can't be sure - I don't have many proper records of my listening history before '22, but it definitely couldn't have been any later than then. Despite being comprised of sonically rich, layered, and pleasant tracks, ‘The Campfire Headphase’ lacks the uniqueness and experimentation that made ‘Music Has the Right to Children’ stand out.

It feels kind of unfair to rate this among all the other albums I've listened to because it can't really be judged in the same way. It's not very catchy, it's hard to revisit, it's long, it doesn't follow the rules of song making... but it is sublime. I've always felt like I like Bjork as a person more than I like her as a musician. Even though I do really like this album, I do feel like I ought to like it more. It's like, really good (nothing below a 7/10), but I don't LOVE it. But I want to? Like, I LOVE the cover art... because it's Bjork. But the songs?
