[2022, Part 2 - Album 13]

I've always felt like I like Bjork as a person more than I like her as a musician. Even though I do really like this album, I do feel like I ought to like it more. It's like, really good (nothing below a 7/10), but I don't LOVE it. But I want to? Like, I LOVE the cover art... because it's Bjork. But the songs?

Idk, this just feels like the litmus test for whether an album is a 'must listen': is it better than 'Debut'? If so, yes.

Track list breakdown:

Human Behaviour - Get ready to see a lot of (7/10)

Crying - This one stands out a bit more than the rest for me (8/10)

Venus as a Boy - Never quite understood the hype around this one. Listening to it reminds me of 'Leon the Professional', and being reminded of that just makes me think about how weirdly Natalie Portman's character is portrayed in that film, so it's a slippery slope that lends detriment to my enjoyment (7/10)

There's More to Life Than This (Recorded Live at the Milk Bar Toilets) - Probably would be a six if not for the bit where she goes into the toilet cubicle (is that real or just an effect?) (7/10)

Like Someone in Love - Huge for harp players (7/10)

Big Time Sensuality - Okay now HERE'S a song I love. Every time this comes on my flatmate always gets angry about the time I accidentally skipped it at a party. I can't blame her (9/10)

One Day - Babies and French Horns, what's not to like? (7/10)

Aeroplane - Props for making 'volcano' sound like 'vagina' (7/10)

Come to Me - Low-key my fave. Another love here (9/10)

Violently Happy - Psychosis club song (7/10)

The Anchor Song - Beautiful, but I wish it wasn't just the same thing twice over with very little variation (8/10)

Ranked:
1. Come to Me
2. Big Time Sensuality
3. The Anchor Song
4. Crying
5. Human Behaviour
6. Violently Happy
7. Like Someone in Love
8. Venus as a Boy
9. One Day
10. Aeroplane
11. There's More to Life Than This (Recorded Live at the Milk Bar Toilets)

At the end of the day, 'Debut' effectively gets across the point it's trying to get across: being in love will make you go fucking insane (8/10)
