66 -> 78

2 years ago I've listened to this album for the first time, one of my first experiences with both garage and noise rock, also the moment when I've realized I like psychedelic music more that I would admit to and more than I would ever expect. It was a really weird experience, you know, just getting used to the stuff. Oh, and that was actually my first time around Segall.

Album still holds up, while my opinion about Ty, that he most of the time could actually do better (its not an insult), stays the same, his music grew on me a little more. I like this piece of unhinged noises dragged across playful grooves a lot, I mean I loved it back then too, especialy "Wave Goodbye" which is still one of my favourite songs from the genre. Its really a unique sounding stuff, I find it just hard to compare it with anything really. It starts with a "jumpscare" that evolves into more melodic and dry sounding stuff than you would expect. Literally crazy people acting like they have fun in the Slaughterhouse.. Cover art's really fitting too.

The only complain that just stays with me? it would be his best album if not the last track, 10 minutes of, well, noise, screeching, pedals being messed with. I get the purpose I think, but that one is just a stretch, unnecessary concrete boots. If Fuzz War had at least some twists, or would be shorter, my score would stand solid somewhere around 80-90 even.

Also whats with the psych rock bands trying to resist the urge to put "Wah" or "Fuzz" in the name of their song 😆

Damn, you actually read all my yapping? Wish ya'll the best
