UTOPIA

UTOPIA is some of Trav’s most experimental work yet. The production on certain songs is so different and refreshing to Trav’s usual psychedelic trap beats, proving he is still developing as an artist and trying those different sounds. This demonstrates his incredible versatility. Listening to this album feels like a journey going through different worlds, landscapes and feelings. Each song brings an individual mood and vibe, from the chaos of SIRENS to reflection experienced by Scott during MY EYES. Again, the features perform very well and have great chemistry with La Flame, however I think a few of Trav’s better tracks on this album didn’t require a feature. His rapping on MY EYES is incredible and flow on multiple other tracks is spot on. I love that Trav tried something different and it worked, this album is still in my constant rotation and was absolutely robbed of the Grammy. There are a few weaker tracks on the LP but the highs are HIGH.
