Quality is what I can describe about Anderson Paak.’s music, Even though it might not blow me away or might not Hail his music as much as I do now, I had an incredible Paak. Phase so decided to start with this project since it had one of my favorite songs that introduced me to the man which was Tints. Honestly you don’t wanna know how many times I’ve played this song, It was honestly like crack or cocaine, it was the best feeling ever, it’s great throwback to funk, Paak. great delivery and the cool Kendrick verse as well added up to something that made me wanna take crack at Oxnard. At first I was quite divisive about the record, maybe even a little disappointed then my expectations about it was, But checking back on it I feel it was a pretty cool record for what it was and for what Anderson wanted to do at the time. It has the feeling of living the most luxurious life and living like a king witch Anderson is great at showing with his great charisma and confidence throughout its track run. Eventhough revisiting these songs now, I do think they’re pretty cool and I might revisit some of them, I do still think I can describe this record as being a little bit of a mess with all its funk, soul and everything in between. So my complaints of this album or from Tracks like the chase which starts up a bit clunky but does get going once we get further in and then with the track head low at the very end we get into a skit were Anderson is getting some head by a girl, and I’m like dude I don’t wanna here does slurping noises nor do I wanna here Paak.s sextape(on less). Then randomly Paak. Throughs some politics in that don’t really add much to the experience, and one small nid pic I have is that it’s a little bit reminiscent of to pimp a butterfly, not that it hurts to experience or anything because it also bought a lot from Funk and jazz as well, but the song anywhere literally sounds like institutionalized in my opinion. Overall I might return to this someday end it was a pretty cool project by Anderson in the end and has a great versatility of features, however I still think there’s some things holding this thing back from truly being more greater in my opinion.
