Look, I loaded up this yachty album, intrigued with the cover. What I got was one of the best psychedelic albums I've listened to in years. Holy fuck. What did I miss? did Boat man always have this level of artistry in him? Do I need to go back through his catalog? Because this was an incredible hour of material. The record flows in this manner where you can barely tell when the songs change; the tracks erupt with amazing instrumentation and beautiful ballads of noise. Yachty delivers great ... read more
Um, ok, this album is crazy unhinged. I have no clue what is going on here. I've been putting off a money store Listen for so long until I thought I was "ready" ready to handle the crazy shit that was going on here. Well, I thought I was, but I am NOT. This was a super rough listen for me. The Rapping felt so rough to me that I didn't like it too much. It feels like the vocals are so raw compared to the crazy shit in the background. It's jarring. Other than that gripe I liked the storytelling, album cover, instrumentals, and a good chunk of this tracklist. this score will go ... read more
7 Tracks with the evil man's production goes so fucking crazy. I mean, I don't like Pusha T too much... push sounds like he's shitting his pants when he's rapping, and it's not my thing. WITH ALL THAT SAID. I like this record a lot because of its cool sound. My favorites from the short tracklist are "What would Meek do?" "If you know, you know," and "Santeria," these tracks have sick production and some amazing Quotables from the lyricist. My least favorite is, ... read more
Fuck what a good album. Late to the Mac train, I’ve been getting introduced to him through my roommate while at college. We listened to swimming and I liked it, but there were definitely some duds for me. I had some gripes with the singing like 2009 and jet fuel didn’t click with me. HOWEVER. Listening to circles was fucking insane. This album tackles such Dutch emotions in an amazing way and I loved every second of it. I have 10 out of 12 liked and my 3 favorites are “good ... read more
