This album is peak! Clearly, Damon and Jamie's trip to India gave them a more fruitful perspective on what life and loss mean to them, especially after losing family members. The writing in this album is so thoughtful, easily some of the best since Plastic Beach. I really enjoyed that this was a nice farewell to his career, reminiscing about the musician and the man he has become. The writing is on point. It was the best part of the album for me. It is just hard for me to truly enjoy to this album knowing its a J. Cole album, and I just never resonated with his vocal performances. While this record feels very monotonous for the entire runtime, it's hard to deny that the production and rapping prowess are top-notch throughout the record, and this is definitely a great way to debut yourselves into the big leagues. John Michel reminds me if redveil was inspired by Joey Bada$$ and Blu.

feels like a cinematic experience of different languages and classical barrages, with a great underlying theme about femininity and spirituality. I think most, even those with just a little bit of interest in what this is about, should give this album a try, it's so captivating.
