I love albums like these. Nothing complex. Just nice songs that you can put on in the background. A lot of people shit on music from the fifties calling it simplistic. I miss that sound. It was just simpler back then. It's just a handsome guy with a good voice singing non complicated songs. Something so nice about that.
I liked this at one time. I was a worse person back then. I'm glad I've changed.
Whore core. Great production. Awesome lyrics that make feel like a slut. I put this on in the gym and I feel like everyone is watching me. Don't know what the hell Fantano was on.
Gorillaz in the 2020s have been inconsistent at best. To be fair, Gorillaz have been inconsistent since the 2010s. However, they pull together and make a project that feels like a classic album. Songs that span different genres. Banger production. Awsome features. The mountain is the full package when it comes to a Gorillaz project. This is such an easy album for me to throw on and listen to—an instant classic in my eyes.
There are some cheesy-ass songs in here. But I love them. Old country twang and sound. Corny, glorious, and innocent. Not trying too hard like modern country.
Essential early George Jones. Very short and sweet. Great songs. Just a good early country album.
Zach top is one of the best country stars working right now. He's bringing back the classic 90s sound and this song does a good job of doing that.
Very catchy. Aside from the country's style of production, this is basically a pop song. The hook/chorus is so catchy that it's definitely an earworm. (edit) You know I liked this song till I realized this is a trad wife anthem. Essentially, Ella wants to be the woman all republican men thirst over. That just made the whole thing gross to me.
Some good tracks but overall....meh. Definitely not bad but just weak compared to her other stuff. First three tracks are pretty good but the album gets worse as it goes on.
Nice little Yacht rock banger. Nothing that will knock your socks off but it's a fun time. 10/10 album cover though.
Just a nice soft rock/country album. The songs are all nice and production is immaculate. If you are a fan of America or the Eagles this album is right up your ally.
So this song tries to be sweet but just reveals how fucked up the Christian religion really is. First off this isn't based on his experience's so the story is fake which instantly cheapen the message. Two, the song is basically showing how fucked up God is because Blake is begging God not to send his friend to eternal damnation in hell because he wasn't a Christian. Like this was supposed to heart warming?
I love albums like these. Not very complex but so easy to listen too. Feels like sitting on a cloud. Patsy was one of the best to ever do it and she was taken too soon.
I know Volker is pretty controversial in the score world right now but damn, he is one of my faves currently. this movie was not well liked, however I adored it and part of the reason was the score. Volker is so good at writing amazing themes and motifs and god I love his bombastic larger than life sound. "City of dreams" has been on repeat for me and the finale of "How About that dance?" mixing techno into the classical score. Genius!
Great project. I have no idea why everyone is so negative about this. So it took 8 years so what? Measuring arts value to if it lived up to how long it took to produce is kinda dumb tbh. Good album!
I have never liked her stuff. Foun it was trying too hard. But I loved this album. Opening with the surprisingly really vulnerable smootchies girl. A song about opening back up to love after being hurt. Then most of the album is just really fun memorable bangers. Now she still has some very very crude lyrics, but they worked on this project probably because the production was excellent. I'm going to go back and listen to her old stuff but this was definitely a growing moment and I'm ... read more
Really good. It sounds great. I like how most of the songs have beat switches. It really subverts the expectations of a song. Overall the songs are just fun. I you can't move to this you're probably dead inside.
The first two tracks are actually not bad, then the album goes down hill. Hilariously vapid. Horribly written. Incredibly boring production. For an boasting this over the top showgirl esthetic you would think it would have more bite, but it's mostly just barks, and weak ones at that.
