This album goes to show that you can still make great melodies even though you're not a great vocalist
Standout tracks: Little Fury Things, Kracked, Sludgefeast, In a Jar, Lose
I was introduced to Miles Large through his pedalboard tour video, and I've been a fan ever since. However, I decided I wanted to delve a bit into his original music, and it's safe to say I'm not disappointed.
From the rapid-fired vocals of I'm Fried, to the experimental noise of Otohime's Revenge, this project is not afraid to throw things at the wall and seeing what sticks. And luckily, this wall is smothered.
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS TRACKLIST?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ❗️❗️❗️🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
I'd give it a 100, but the song's called No One Knows, and yet it's this band's best known song.
Simply beautiful. The minimal instrumentation of vocals and strings is a match made in heaven. So glad I'm getting more into Aoba's music after only discovering it over the last couple of weeks.
The first four tracks are great, then the album becomes more repetitve and less note-worthy, and only matches the quality of the first four tracks in small moments.

This album's called Fresh for a reason ;)
Bad pun aside, this is a great album. I was initially exicted to listen to this album because of the song "If You Want Me to Stay", since the song is among my favorites of the funk genre. I was first introduced to this band from this album's big singles, No One Knows and Go with the Flow, and I'm glad to say that this album had so much more to offer. One aspect that really caught my attention was how this album includes 3 different vocalists, all of which bring their own unique qualities, while also not causing the album to drastically deviate from the album's established sound of low-tuned guitars and Dave Grohl's mix of heavy and groovy drum parts. Overall, an album filled to ... read more
