Yeat - ADL
70

Unfortunately overhated because I had the perfect joke for this album for a month just for it to actually sound good??

ADL is very interesting to me, one who has very weird feeling about trap, despite being an avid hip-hop enjoyer as a whole. As much as I don't mind simply a head banger, I find the generic over-the-top trap production and simple lyrics to usually make me not enjoy it as much. While there are some pretty good trap projects out there (cough cough Travis Scott), I find ... read more

WAY better than the EP's, thats for sure. personally really enjoyed the experience, was super chaotic and always got me headbanging. While it isn't the greatest thingof all time, I still rlly liked it.

Awesome Possum
As the return from a 10 year disconnection of Jill Scott, she returns with an extremelly meaningful project, broadening cases of race and showing topics and sounds very on par with her origins. The projects feels very fresh, with some fun sounds and great lyrics with production. While it is unsure about the future of the artist, she comes for a short time to showcase her imminent ability to drop bangers.

Gorillaz - The Mountain
88

I really liked this project! It is by far Gorillaz most experimental attempt at music, and I just loved all of the elements in it! All of the features and sounds just blended together pretty well into making this deep, yet calming piece of art. Definitely a heavy rotation and a solid contender for AOTY

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
62

It's like. Alright. None of the songs feel new or original and also feels moreso like latin pop which if he wants to follow that direction, sure. There are just very few redeeming qualities in this, turning in a really dissapoiting album, as Bruno has been able to drop some real gems in the past.

Mitski - Nothing's About to Happen to Me
85

A very good album! There was no parts that I thought bad, just a little weird and not for me (theres like one word in Where's My Phone? That hurts my soul) but Mitski gives a great performance and i will surely be returning to it

Converge - Love Is Not Enough
83

Your love is not enough for this album. It is awesome. It all goes into an intense and exciting journey that puts you on the edge for most time and just leaves you perplexed listening to it. I never listened to anything by Converge, not even their highly praised Jane Doe. But this was a wake up call to show that they still have some gems I must discover.

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
80

I like to think it is pronounced "Cashino" and thats how I will say it and bring it up in conversations
This album is very enjoyable, it has a very fresh production and the lyricism is solid. There are a few weaker tracks but Keem overall delivers a great return. I also like that he is growing out of the Kendrick bubble people built around him, hoping for a full breakout. Interested for when he will come back in 20 years

Charli xcx - Wuthering Heights
73

Quite dissapointing project coming from Charli's very impressive run with brat. The tracks feel a tad bland and don't offer much to the table at times, but you will still see some very fun songs in the middle. Maybe you shouldn't look at this as a full musical project over the intended soundtrack work (haven't seen the movie but what I've seen wasn't the best thing either, might give it a shot later), and just enjoy the vibes she came to give.

By Storm - My Ghosts Go Ghost
85

Weak at first, but the album really grows on you as it goes on. The production just keeps getting more intricating and showcases that the duo still got it. A great opening to this new phase and leaves excitement for the future

Searows - Death in the Business of Whaling
72

Listened to this beause it was one of the more interesting drops of January, and the project was somewhat pretty solid. Had some highs but too some lows, not much to talk about here.

J. Cole - BIRTHDAY BLIZZARD '26
78

Enjoyable EP, left me interested in The Fall-Off, and surely showcased Cole was dedicated to go out with a bang

Don Toliver - OCTANE
65

Very weak project... there is not much of value overall to extract, and it feels overall extremelly generic and bland, for an album of this length i was desperate to end song 10 onwards, even if thats where the better songs are. It still has some ok production and some songs are enjoyable, just not that concise as a full project.

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
78

Pretty solid return, no immediate misses and have been enjoying a nice bunch for a while, even after 3 months

BTS - ARIRANG
42

Super uninteresting, not worth it for the price of now Spotify advertising me Top 100 K-Pop tracks now. Even by BTS standards, they were better off doing a more R&B-like sound, being more lenient to rap ruined their sound even more. I wonder how much they paid Peggy and Tame Impala for this

smokedope2016 - THE COMEDOWN

Great album! The preduction felt very fresh and fun, the lyrics were able to keep that nice Cloud Rap energy and smokedope delivered overall a super consistent project! This is my first album from him, but keeps me interested in the future!

Tom Cardy - Big Dumb Idiot

My friend suggested this in the middle of many other albums I was meant to listen to, and this one caught my eye. Big mistake. This is one of the most dreading and painful experience I have experienced in music listening. There are barely any redeeming qualities on this, and sure, you could argue that it is a comedy album made by an influencer! But the lyrics are so corny and unbearable that no excuse can save this. When I first listened to this, I gave it around a 5, but the more and more I ... read more

ezcodylee - STUNT 4 LIFE

This just feels like a weak mix of a bunch of great artists that mix into a boring rage record, basically a worsened Jane Remover. The production does its job of being agressive and all, but his voice and weak lyrics just really push the album down. I don't got that much to say on this, but I won't deny the potential. Maybe he will return in a more interesting project soon.

Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA
88

This year is looking very promising for pop, and this record is a great example of it. WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA has the goal of doing only 2 things: show off how cool Slayyyter is, and to make us dance. This is some of the best synth work I've seen so far this year, and all of the production is super fun to listen to. Personally, it stands miles ahead of what she tried doing in STARFUCKER, a record that was freaky to the point of awkward at times. Here, we just vibe. She might be the wor$t ... read more
