I randomly stumbled upon this record and... why isn't anyone speaking about this?? I can hardly find anything on her career so I assume she was underground but, this is really great music. From the vocals to the production everything is amazing. I don't think this is much of a standout during its time, but its really good and I'm shocked not more people are talking about it. One of my favorite records I've heard this year.
She is actually insane. This is just another project from willow that proves that she's only getting better the older she gets.
Billie has NEVER and WILL NEVER MISS! This LP is perfect from top to bottom, almost feeling too good to be true at times. Vocally, she has never sounded better and sonically, absolutely stunning. Not one dull moment, best writing we've gotten from Billie yet, and the synths on some songs??? (*cough cough*) THAT'S how you use synths in a fresh, innovative way. I have nothing else to say other than this is SO top 3 contender for AOTY this year, hands down! [More in depth review coming soon ... read more
Absolutely. Blew. My. Mind. Going into this project I had only heard one single, "The Hills". After hearing that for the first time, I automatically had high expectations for this project, and boy did it not only hit the mark dead on, but hit a homerun as well! This is the perfect coming-of-age album, Heavily focusing on the navigation of adulthood during your early 20s. Lyrically and contextually it deals with a lot of heavy topics, finding a way to flesh out each of them with a ... read more
I never review albums right after finishing them... but man this was a let down. With how big this project was being hyped up, you would expect more from it. But, to put it blankly, the LP sounds like a lot of the weaker tracks of Midnights rinsed out once again. (sidenote: I don't think this is really a "Midnights 2", there were a lot of different elements added. BUT, it is very reminiscent of that album, and not in the best way.) This was my first time actually getting BORED during ... read more
Conan Gray completely dissected his past works and took a leap of faith... which in turn worked in his favor. This album isn't exactly perfect, but it's a strong piece that highlights Conan's effervescent strengths, which makes the album all the more enjoyable. Though some of the songwriting was shorter and more surface level than his previous works, his ability to play off of witty references and undertones levels it out. You killed it Conan.

I decided to finally address this album as Cowboy Carter is set to release in less than eight hours. Where do I even begin with this. I mean, undoubtedly, this is one the greatest albums released of all time. Vocally, unobtainable for the untrained. Lyrically, underrated and undefeated. The unwavering flow of queer greatness from start to finish is a huge booster in terms of aesthetic. Seeing how this transported in her tour from last year, she truly created a world with this LP. One the best ... read more
I've been sitting on this rating since the release, and honestly I haven't changed my mind in the slightest. A killer vocal range almost reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper, paired with an aesthetic so effervescent it reminds me of Lady Gaga's emergence on the scene back in 08, She's a full-faced threat. Not to forget her blunt and bold language, acceptance of queer experiences, projecting them all across the project that in a way makes you feel transported to being where she is. I have high hopes for ... read more
The danceability this song gives off is HEAVY! On one end it's a pretty simple track (shorter than I'd prefer), but the synth-work seems so refreshing that the more you listen, the better it sounds (trust me I listened to it 5 times).
