Nice sounding sludge, feels more evil then heavy of anything. It has a pretty strong doom influence and sounds alright.
The Melvin's are one of the most influential bands of all time and they already have a great sound on there second album. It's much more clean sounding then Gluey Porch Treatments and has a handful of great songs. At some points it can feel like your listening to the same song, but if this album was shorter it would be better. I think for this being one of the first sludge metal albums it is amazing, but there is definitely some songs that need to be more fleshed out.
Honestly this album is by far their worse so far. The songs just sound boring compared to older albums there still are some good riffs, but this feels like a much more watered down version of crowbar.
Pretty meh compared to previous albums. Its not bad though, there a lot of parts in this album where the band try's experimenting with clean singing and much softer songs. It doesn't really work that well, however some of these songs are so heavy and groovy that it balances it out. Cut out some songs and it would be much better
The best crowbar album so far. The production is much better then there first three albums. It is also the heaviest sounding so far. The only negative I can say about this album is that it can get a little boring sometimes but most the time this album is great
