MIKE's half is very good, Earl's half is elevatory
one of his best songs, wish he used that voice for longer and i wish he said "i told twin to turn that bass up" more.
every song felt like a blessing to my ears. i wanted to keep turning my volume up, keep moving my hips, and keep feeling the music. last song got me teary-eyed.
poetry and raw thoughts over beats that sound like the garden of eden
aggressively "pretty dang good" and never something truly special outside of a track or two. daniel knows how to make music and make it well!! but this gospel-inspired album didn't have enough soul for me. (did i eat with that last part?)
so much better than her last, but nowhere near interesting or great. her charli diss was sad, cancelled handles its subject matter terrible, and her two songs with rap-ish instrumentals were underwhelming. on the other hand, elizabeth taylor might be the first song of hers that i add to my playlist. the second half of life of a showgirl is fantastic, and eldest daughter was lyrically interesting
charged with emotion and personality. i love how the whole thing sounds, how he ventures out with some of these instrumentals, HIS VOICEEEE. amazing record.
how do u listen to this and give it anything other than a 70? its so groovy!!!
this feels like a much-needed hug from that special person
faye at her least vulnerable and most repetitive still sounds brilliant. her worst, but still pretty dang good!
