Hmmm...for all those bleating that “post-rock is the new prog,” the CD bins are littered with albums like this proving them wrong. This is basically tuneless droning on guitars and stringed instruments with no discernible dynamics, tedious sub-Ornette Coleman free blowing mated to occasional “musique concrète” sound samples that add nothing to the pieces. The guys in Faust wouldn’t wipe their asses with this stuff.
