I like the way they play with softer and heavier parts but some of this sounds like a badly mixed demo and not in a good way. I’d still stay it’s pretty good though and could definitely be amazing with some work.

My main issue with pixies is how their songs sound like they demand to be longer. A lot of punk or punk adjacent stuff (I personally heard some punk influences on this album) doesn’t need to be very long because it’s mostly about the energy of the song rather than the vibe. But pixies have more stuff going on in their songs that I feel could be expanded on more. It leaves me thinking “this is a great idea” rather than “this is a great song”.
