Holy shit.
This review can be summed up with those two words. This album is fantastic. Every song, every minute, every second is so buttery smooth and with the beautiful voice of Isaac Hayes. This makes for a great time for an album. The albums I listen to are very short most of the time, but I did not zone out once in my listen for this. Amazing album.
Has the potential to be my fav uzi single on this run.
Uzi is on a generational run rn fr
Big L has some peak wordplay and non-stop rhyme scheme throughout all of this album and the rapping never stops. Just the middle part didn't feel as good as the beginning and the end of the album. I still very much enjoyed this listen and I can see why this is highly regarded as it is.
Bro dropped one of the best first day out songs in a while and potentially his best song ever.
This tape has some of Lil B’s best songs and the first half is very solid but the 2nd half kind of felt like it dragged on while having some peak songs here and there. Very based. Very cool.
Production is great as always and the signature Charles Hamilton sampling is there with some quality rapping but I feel like this album kind of drags on due to the longer run time for these tracks. That may be a me issue but it is what it is, still a great album though.
Lazer is definitely one of the most unique rappers out now. Even if his style may be one dimensional most of the time with his sound, I never grow tired of it and I don’t think it will happen soon.
Being the sequel to his best work ever, I was imagining how this could live up to it. It doesn’t, for me at least, but goddamn, I still enjoyed this a lot. The track list felt consistent but it doesn’t have the highs of its predecessor.
