Tyler's most emotionally raw album yet leads to an experience that is not as uncomfortable as "Mr Morale and the Big Steppers" but at times gets close. The difference to me is not the subject matter but the production. Tyler produces the album to be incredibly enjoyable, no matter what he is saying. This makes it so you can choose whether or not to engage with his lyrics and when you do they are amazing. There are some forgettable songs in there but nothing that reaches the level ... read more
Banger after Banger. Even the soft songs on this album go so unbelievably hard. I don't love how the record ends, as I think most of the conceptual records on this album are the weakest (although I love reincarnated). But other than that small issue, this album is absolutely amazing, with some of Kendrick's best songs, my faves being "wacced out murals", "peekaboo" and "squabble up".

It is dark but never seems dower and every time I listen to it I have a good time. Much like their previous work, I think this will only grow on me the more time I live with it.
Black Country, New Road's return to the studio is not only great but truly triumphant. Their songwriting has stayed on the peak achieved on Ants From Up There and the diversity of voices heard is a great way to make up for the hole left by Issac ... read more
This is Viagra Boy's most contemplative album yet, which made it hard for me to get at first. I was looking for bangers on the level of those in Cave World, which exist but are not the standouts here. Which absurdist as always, this album feels more grounded than their previous work leaving me connected more to it emotionally, even if I don't think it is their most consistent or hard hitting album.
