Amber claims a great pocket of Dream Pop here, and polishes it to perfection. Though the project could do well to shave its runtime and really capture a pace worth the polish.
Fishmans has a perfectly distilled strategy of using downtempo in order to subconsciously invite the listener to fill in the gaps. Shinji's voice lays perfectly in the composition, demanding your attention without ever really forcing you to consider anything. It brings you into a world where the surgical, dreamy production is secondary to the fact that the music wants to act as a backdrop to your thoughts. Fishmans is freedom in a whimsical world that guides your thoughts external rather ... read more
One of the prettiest album covers I've ever seen. I think Graham's ambition in their folktronica production acts as a sort of sweet coating over writing and performances that aren't proportionally interesting. There are multiple heartfelt and honest moments on the project, Raven was touching, for example. But the modernized, ethereal folktronica nostalgia just isn't enough to justify the generally mediocre hooks and concepts. Even so, the mixing and ideas found here are ... read more
God is real because there is something endlessly evil about being alive.
An ethereal sendoff to one of the greatest bands of all time. Interesting elements of chamber pop and orchestral influence are peppered across the project and function as a beautifully somber conclusion to Radiohead's legacy.
Thus concludes my journey through the Radiohead discography!!
How do you follow up In Rainbows? ...I mean, I get it. It's an intimidating question, but The King Of Limbs feels like cobbled more like some cobbled together demos and interesting concepts than anything near groundbreaking. It's still Radiohead, it's still good, but it's sorely lacking in palpable identity and purpose.

Super tight and smooth listen! But the nature of the package doesn't blow me away or anything.
I love when I'm reminded of the childhood hivemind media has created for us... Not in a sarcastic way, genuinely I absolutely love it. This project is so fun.
Totally beautiful. So much ambition flowing through the band's return! They reached heights I never thought they could upon hearing This Is It... and that record is essentially perfect.
Nurture reminds me of a time where I woke up excited to be alive in the world.
What should've been the most legendary album conceptually in recent Hip-Hop history is, in reality, the prolonged stagnation of Nas's second wind. NY State Of Mind Pt. 3 isn't canon to me.
An odyssey through loss, hope, and respect for the titans of Hip-Hop. It's clever, refreshing, and embraces happiness in a way only De La Soul could bring to our generation. RIP Trugoy!
