Three days before his death, while in a terrible medical state, J Dilla released one of the best and most essential instrumental Hip-Hop albums of all time. Stunning and gorgeous production, great sampling, and to this day, unmatched talent. Not every song is perfect, and some tracks don’t match the incredible highlights. But in the end, it all comes together to create one of the most thrilling and unique album experiences. Near flawless.
