Lately, I’ve been using album anniversaries as an excuse to finally get around to writing reviews for them. And while I’m at it, I want to take a moment to thank you all for 700 followers! It honestly means so much that people even bother to follow me and read my reviews, especially since it’s barely been four months since I joined this community! I know I haven’t even written 30 reviews yet, but I’ll try to put out some more half baked, horrible ... read more
Boldy James and Sterling Toles collaborate to create something special on Manger On McNichols. The phrase "modern-day classic" is thrown around like wildfire nowadays, but it is undeniable on this album. Categorizing this masterpiece as just jazz rap with the likes of A Tribe Called Quest or The Pharcyde is kind of disrespectful because it is so much more than that. It's a glimpse into Boldy James' most intimate and nerve inducing moments mixed with Sterling Toles' ... read more

Many of whom paid tribute when we were struck with the tragic news of his passing in October 2024.
On his last record, Ka delivers some of ... read more
As much as it hurts to say now, I've always been a person who has openly been against the PinkPantheress hype train for the longest. She's always seemed like the perfect TikTok algorithmic musician to me, with overly short pop songs that sound just different enough to make mainstream listeners feel special whilst still finding commercial success. But good god, this project blew my mind.
The thing that blew me away most was how consistently fun and engaging this album was! ... read more
You know I have to come back for this!
Had to let this sit for a bit to truly digest it instead of coming to a conclusion right after its release. But even then, in merely 2 days, Quadeca's magnum opus, "Vanisher, Horizon Scraper," has already had hundreds of gallons of ink used in praise of it, and it's easy to see why.
Like many, my first introduction to Quadeca's music was through his diss tracks toward KSI, but it wasn't until "I Didn't Mean to ... read more
