EDIT: 84 -> 96
With the release of Vanisher being a little too close for comfort, I decided to revisit this album. I remembered liking it but feeling like there was something missing, specifically in the last leg of the album. I've never been more happy to be wrong in my life. Front to back this album is a masterclass in emotional storytelling, to the point that I'm kind of dangerously addicted to it right now. I've been having a rough couple of weeks (summer fucking SUCKS) ... read more
How this album has continued to grow on me through the years needs to be studied. I used to despise this thing, now I can't stop coming back to it, this just has a vibe to it that has yet to be matched.
I feel like I can appreciate this album way more now that Plastic Death is out. This album really feels like they were making it up as they went and discovering their sound along the way and I like that. I still think this album drags on a bit, but still, this album has grown on me and is definitely a worthwhile listen :)
Favorite tracks: classic j dies and goes to hell part 1, (forever?????????), cold weather, glass beach, (blood rivers)
Every time I listen to any song from this album I am painfully reminded just how heartbreaking and gut-wrenching it is
I felt warm while listening to this album. Beautiful instrumentation, nice vocal deliveries, BCNR reference, I really liked this one :)
Favorite tracks: On a Grassy Knoll (We'll Bow Together), Eidolon, Untitled, My God, Mountain Song
As someone who thought their first outing was just okay, this album was a lovely surprise. I've been listening to this album again and again since it came out and I'm still finding new things to love about it. This is a great step-up from their previous album in my opinion and definitely my album of the month and album of the year so far.

This broke me dude. Ironically the most memorable music experience I've ever went through
My absolute favorite album of all time, words will never be able to describe my love for this record
EDIT: Coming back to this review just to say that Mark's Theme doesn't get nearly as much love and attention that it deserves. It's such a beautiful interlude that gets a bit overshadowed by the magnificence of the rest of the package. Still don't have any words about the rest of the album though and I never will. Any attempt at trying to convey just how much every track ... read more
