this song is the weakest of the one's released so far but that's what makes it stand out the most it has a weird timing to it and it feels like the song is literally bursting at the seams in the chorus. the dissonant lead makes me feel uncomfy in the best way possible and i love wilbur's vocals on this song
Would honestly say this is one of his best records. It doesn’t have the same production quality as come over when you’re sober but makes up for in it’s charm, sheer songwriting quality, and the record uses its lower production level to add another level of vulnerability and weakness to it. I’ve been waiting for this EP for a while now and it did not disappoint one bit. The cleaner production, and there’s also just a lot more inspiration from other bands and just more to offer outside of there being more tracks. The screams on here are much more prevalent and powerful, the American football feeling of the title track is incredible. The great use of feedback is great, I just wish some songs were a bit longer but they’re still perfect as is. Dear Maryanne is so fire
Not a better album than anything else they’re released before but the most exciting one, opening track Na Na Na highlights tbh at signature my chemical romance sound but covered in glitter, bulletproof heart, Planetary (Go!), Party Poison, Scarecrow, Destroya, The Kids from yesterday, all songs I think are incredible my chem songs but it falls a bit short quality wise on songs like sing, the only hope for me is you, and save yourself I’ll hold them back, overall great album ... read more
