It's Silent Hill 2 music. Of course it's good :p
not only is this game fire but the soundtrack is an absolute banger! Like every song is good. My fav track if I had to pick one would probably have to be Beautiful Death.
I literally enjoyed every second of this album. literally. The track Just Abandoned Myself was outta this world on its own.
I have no idea what the critics were smoking to give this album a 40. This album carries a lot of the songs you think of when Dir En Grey is in the topic. You have tracks like Fukai, Kasumi, Yokan, and don't forget cage. And that's only some of the songs. Definitely listen to this album if you have heard other Dir En Grey albums or are interested in their wonky Avant-Garde like Metal.
I love how versatile Dir En Grey is. This album has so many amazing rifts, not to mention Kyo's amazing voice. Tracks like Lotus you can hear Kyo work wonders while simultaneously hearing 7 string drop-tuned rifts. It's like light and dark meeting in the middle. Then there is the Vanitas surprise in which Dir En Grey busts out an acoustic guitar and kinda goes for a more mellow sound.
Camellia is probably one of my favorite producers. The complexity and speed of these beats are off the walls. On top of that, he is also very nice to his community, making songs for Beat Saber and Osu monthly!
Three of a Perfect Pair is one of my favorite KC albums. My first listen of this album was actually a video of their 1984 Tokyo concert which also included tracks from Indiscipline and Beat. Nevertheless, songs like Dig Me and Man with an Open Heart sounded amazing in the live performance.
Thundercat's Drunk was the first album I'd listened to by him. I was blown away by how energetic some of the tracks were but then could immediately drop that mood and get more mellow, like 3 AM and Drunk. As I invested more time into his discography his sound/style lead me to different artists like Flying Lotus and Kamasi Washington. Literally one of the most influential albums in my life. 10/10.
This was one of the first Drone/Sludge albums I'd listened to and I haven't looked back since.
