Atmospheric, soft and just dreamy. Perfect to listen to while doing something else.
Probably their weakest record, but still good. Takes some time to get into, but once you do the songs really start to shine.
I feel like this album is underrated, and Björk deserves more praise for this extremely ambitious and impressive piece of work. It's a conceptual masterpiece with hundreds of layers and underlying concepts. It tackles a profound and unique topic and the songs are diverse and interesting. Easily on of Björk's best.
This album is a journey, Björk's journey. You can really feel the pain and the sadness. It's surging and pulsing all around you during the first tracks, but towards the end of the album it takes a dramatic turn. The songs become more hopeful and as you emerge from the dream that is Vulnicura, you feel reawakened and fresh.
Wow, just wow. On this album Joanna is singing about love, death and time. Listening to this album is such a profound experience, it really makes you think. The lyrics are fantastic, layered and dense and the music itself is impressive as hell.
Fave songs: Sapokanikan, Waltz of the 101st lightborne and Divers.
Easily one of the most underrated albums of the 2010s. This album is in all honesty fantastic. On the surface it's a catchy and fun pop album, but underneath is the geniusness of Marina Diamandis. Through a perfect illusion it manages to convey it's much deeper message, one about women in popular culture. It's too sad that this passed over so many peoples' heads.
This album is a masterpiece in every sense. It's grand, beautiful and beyond fantastic. The songs are intricate, delicate and powerful and the lyrics are quite literally the best I've ever heard. If any album out there deserves a top score, this is the one.
Listening to this album is like reading a book about a digital dystopian future mixed with a medieval fairytale. It's dreamy and eerie, both at the same time. I'd say the pinnacle of the album is the song "Frack", here we get all the album's best elements mixed together. A slow but steady beat, beautiful synths and haunting vocals. All in all, a gorgeous album.
