Good background music, but a boring in-depth listen.

V from BTS has got a nice voice even with their english singing, I think it compliments the Lo-Fi and Jazz fusion well. Slow Dancing obviously is the best song on here, it wasn’t excellent but it had compelling writing and okay production, whichever version you like more depends on you to be honest they are basically the same song lol. This song was fine in all departments until I realised that ghastly cowbell and now I can't unhear it completely perforating a portion of my enjoyability.

The first two songs are a total turn off for me though and it’s not hard to see why, Rainy Days and Blue both suffer the same life threatening condition of dogshit hook syndrome. Blue is hard to enjoy when we have to endure the ultra harmonised repetitive "Bluueeee, bluueeee" being said more times than it needs to. The singing execution gives me fat blue balls too, and the radio backdrop vocal effect on V saying "on and on and on" is unpalatable, I really dislike when this gets used in the song at other points too.

For Us gives us a nice slice of TikTok pie with the sped up R&B sample to start and transition the most melodic song and Love Me Again makes up for the previous mistakes with the most catchy hook on Layover. I had a pretty mellow time with this solo BTS work. Probably not worth a look at if you don't listen to K-pop like myself.

Because of how easy going and digestible the project is it’s definitely made for a Pop audience with all of its purposefully listener friendly quirks especially with its short runtime.
