Kind of repetitive but also quite smooth and relaxing. Good background music.

Isn't this silly and aren't you beautiful?

This album may not be very exciting or thrilling, but it doesn't need to be. I found it to be quite enjoyable from the first song till the last. It's very nice to be used as background music for in the living room.

Favourite track: Tsunami

This is my favourite album.

In Rainbows is pure genius, both musically and lyrically. Its central theme is longing: wanting something you can’t have. I’ve felt that more times than I’d like to admit, like being consumed by the thought of someone you want but know you’ll never have, because fear keeps you silent.

Lyrically, it feels like she’s trying to be like Sabrina Carpenter on this album (which, honestly, isn’t a great move to begin with). Best track: The Fate of Ophelia
Worst tracks: Wi$h Li$t, Wood

Do you want some chicken lad?

Nodded my head all the way through this album, scouse accent makes it even better.

Fave tracks: 4 Raws, LV Sandals, Tartan

Maruja - Pain to Power

Have no fear,
It’s our differences that make us beautiful.

While the lyrics may lean toward simplicity at times, the messages of hope are genuinely moving and deeply needed in these dark, polarised times. We’re so often pulled apart by division that we forget the power of unity, of love, and most importantly: hope.

Musically, the album lands hard. The instrumentals blend post-rock’s slow build with jazz-rock’s unpredictability, creating climactic moments. There’s ... read more
