Makes me think of Cherry Bomb a lot, except the production is much better and so are the lyrics, even if superficial.
The mix of synth and electro is awesome and something I wanted to see from Tyler more, and the more melodic portions of this album are great highlights. These are some lows though. But, for a fun album like this, they don't really stand up.
There are some very good songs, and others that can be meh at best.
This album feels desperate and haunting, very emotional & vulnerable, and maybe too packed up.
The rock influences and the experimental spin on his music really makes this different from HIVE or Thrill Seeker, and makes it much more enjoyable.
Direct improvement from his other projects, and definitely shows the effects of fame on Sub Urban's mental state.
