I will defend this album until the day I die. I feel like this album is often overlooked because it's "just another Weezer album". Even people who don't enjoy the first album should give this a shot. It shows an emotional, dark side of the band, specifically Rivers, that doesn't shine through almost anywhere else. ALSO WHAT IS THAT THING THEY DO ON THIS ALBUM WITH THE ?SLOW GUITARS? THAT SOUNDS SO HEAVENLY????
I usually don't have a lot to say about most albums... that being said HOLY FUCK this album is incredible. It represents nothing and yet so much at once. It rebels against what art is "supposed to be" by having no real meaning, yet it connects to so many of us for reasons unknown.
