I will defend this album until the day I die. I feel like this album is often overlooked because it's "just another Weezer album". Even people who don't enjoy the first album should give this a shot. It shows an emotional, dark side of the band, specifically Rivers, that doesn't shine through almost anywhere else. ALSO WHAT IS THAT THING THEY DO ON THIS ALBUM WITH THE ?SLOW GUITARS? THAT SOUNDS SO HEAVENLY????
I usually don't have a lot to say about most albums... that being said HOLY FUCK this album is incredible. It represents nothing and yet so much at once. It rebels against what art is "supposed to be" by having no real meaning, yet it connects to so many of us for reasons unknown. There aren't really any tracks that stick out from the rest, but that might be the point and genius of the whole thing. It's a solid brick of an album that feels like it always... was. And it ... read more
I've never done a proper genre exploration like this, hell even a proper review that isn't super cheesy, but I'm gonna start here, with the first proper grunge record, that, by the way, I've never heard once as of writing the first section of this review. I have good expectations for this album, I just hope the production isn't too lacking for my taste. I'll be back shortly to give my thoughts.

The lyrics are pretty bad
The song structure is pretty basic and repetitive
The features aren’t great (except for Quavo)
The main things carrying this project and keeping it from being a basic trap album are the unique production and Post Malone’s (in my opinion) incredible vocals.
This isn’t perfect or even great by any means. I like it though. This album has a style that nobody so far has been able to replicate exactly, not even Austin himself.
Let It Happen is one of the most extraordinary album openers I’ve ever heard, it’s an incredible and mind-warping intro that lets you know exactly what you’re signing up for.
Favorites: Dome, With That, Check, Can’t Tell, Knocked Off, Numbers, Just Might Be
Favorites: We Don’t Trust You, Type Shit, Like That, Cinderella, Everyday Hustle
This is like station to station but if David Bowie was Isaac Brock and instead of cocaine it was baby powder
This is incredible. Every track works so well together, and they’re great individually too. The first half starts out with a selection of nearly, if not perfect songs that all fit into the theme of the album. The second half is a collection of short tracks that blend into each other so well. The highs are astounding, and the weaker tracks don’t feel unnecessary. They all feel like pieces of a puzzle that make this an undeniable classic and without a doubt the most cohesive project ... read more
I enjoyed Donda much more than this, hell, even JIK. This feels like scraps thrown together into an album that should be half this length. Do better Ye.
