i listened to the first half of this album a while ago and it was so unbelievably boring i actually couldn't even finish it. this is really the same band that made paralyzer?
very mild album. ive always loved and will continue to love paralyzer, but it's really the only thing this album does particularly well. in fact, paralyzer feels pretty out of place in comparison to the rest of the tracks which all pretty much sound the same. tbh this album isn't even painfully mid, it's just really, really boring.
back in my day, we didn't HAVE to pretend to have a deeper meaning, we just had pure, unfettered edgeslop and we LIKED IT
this is such a mixed bag with lots of flops and quite a few hits, though the hits only really "hit" if pop is your thing, so i can totally see why this hasnt been received that well. as time goes on, each song only starts to get increasingly irritating, and the lack of cohesion save for the general sound makes this album hard to really get into.
i originally liked this ep a lot since it's just covers from my favorite album and game soundtrack of all time, but as i listen to it more, the differences from the original become more irritating, and the sound just feels off to me, especially since i'm so used to the original. this is still good, it's just starting to get on my nerves a little and i'd rather just listen to the real thing.

white boys really aint doing it like this anymore. the ONLY thing that holds this album back for me is blood being a bit wacko boingo, but yea i see why this thing is absolutely legendary. come back to me after the seasonal depression hits and this'll definitely turn into a 100.
