AllMusic

With Rush!, Måneskin make good on their Eurovision rock promise, delivering an album that's campy, inspired, and thrilling all at the same time.

80
Evening Standard
These are mostly songs that are designed for the biggest stages, and surely destined to stay there.
80
Classic Rock

Rush! is dazzling proof that Måneskin are capable of writing rings around most modern riff monkeys.

80
The Arts Desk
They draw on the gloriously stupid, disruptive spirit of rock'n'roll as we used to know it.
80
American Songwriter
With 17 mostly terrific songs (three sung in Italian), only one breaking the four-minute mark, the collection has the jittery intensity of a lion pacing before feeding time.
80
The Skinny

On Rush! Måneskin continuously prove that outcasts deserve a good time, and they are here to give it to us.

80
Upset
If you’ve got it, flaunt it, and indeed Maneskin are flaunting the fuck out on ‘Rush!’.
80
Kerrang!
Best of all, the unhinged rap-rock of La fine and Il dono della vita’s jazzy swell – both sung in emotive Italian – prove their credentials as ambassadors of the universal language of rock’n’roll. Bravissimo!
80
Dork
Måneskin don’t waste any time trying to claim the throne on ‘Rush!’ – they already know it’s theirs.
80
The Telegraph

Måneskin won their title largely through sheer excitement – big, loud rock ‘n’ roll thrills bursting with panache and style and charisma and sex. On third album RUSH! this modus operandi remains so: every OTT moment here is designed to dazzle.

70
Uncut

The self-assumed swagger that enlivens the 17-track Rush! emanates from the focus attack of the band members, whose playing thrums with attitude.

70
Clash
Exhaustive and exhausting, ‘Rush!’ feels like the definitive word in this unlikely rock phenomenon – at its best, it’s a feral reminder of how entertaining the genre can be.
70
The Line of Best Fit
The album feels and sounds like an unstoppable force, which is undoubtedly where Måneskin is at – and, if we’re to continue on this upward trajectory with them, what a ride it will be.
60
The Independent

While it’s true that Rush! starts to feel amorphous, you’d be hard-pressed to find a single moment in its 50-minute runtime where you’re not enjoying yourself just a little.

60
The Observer
The Eurovision winners’ third LP boasts gleaming production values and nuanced songs, but tries to tick too many boxes.
60
Metal Hammer
It's kinda messy. Måneskin aren't brilliant yet, but despite the record's patchiness, their sheer exuberance makes bands like Greta Van Fleet seem as fun as a funeral.
60
The Guardian
The Italian quartet prove themselves sharp operators with an infectiously enthusiastic record inspired by a grab-bag of influences.
60
Gigwise

Rush! sees Måneskin pulling out all the stops and drawing on a range of genres, from glam-rock and punk to the power ballad, for an eclectic end product, but one that lacks the cohesion of their previous record.

60
The Irish Times

Third album from Italian rockers has energy and charisma wedged into English-language songs.

60
NME
The Italian band cap off a whirlwind period by sticking to their guns in the face of industry bluster and interference.
30
No Ripcord
A miserable buffet of rock ‘n’ roll cliches, from saccharine ballads to off-color glam to bland MTV rock. It’s essentially homeopathic rock muzak.
30
Far Out Magazine
Rush! is the most worrisome of modern albums: it’s so long that it’s an almost insurmountable slog to get through, but it’s so devoid of truly transcendent moments that it could all breeze by you without you even noticing.
20
The Needle Drop
At the very least, Måneskin should probably start flossing.
20
Pitchfork
The Italian rock band has become a global sensation. Their new album is absolutely terrible at every conceivable level.

It might just be the fact that I don't speak or understand Italian so it comes off as more palatable when the music is the only thing I can judge on first listen, but Måneskin works really well when they stick to an energetic punk sound and EXCLUSIVELY speak in Italian.
However, they leave this Italian-only formula and make a complete English-only turnaround on RUSH! on 14/17 tracks, leaving you with a messy album chock full of questionable cringy lyrics, unfortunate mixing, and ... read more

This seems like it was an important album for their future direction, which makes it all the more disappointing that they pivoted so heavily toward a commercial sound.

The overall impression of the album was that of soullessly mimicking a deadly rockstar persona. Poppy and safe sounds, an exaggerated rockstar aesthetic, simplistic lyrics — all of these combined ended up burying what makes Måneskin truly themselves.

The tracks written solely by the members without outside ... read more
