Really great pop punk song about letting go of a past relationship, the metaphor about selective memory and the way it relates to the emotion and ways life are exaggerated in movies is great. Love that heavy ass riff. “I want you to be free, don’t worry about me” is the centerpiece of the song lyrically for me and it’s great.

I’m sorry. I flat out just did not enjoy this. And I’m not gonna use over the top theatrical language to express how much I didn’t like this, I don’t like making recommenders feel bad, but this album just doesn’t deserve it either. No hate to the musicians but people working super hard on something doesn’t equal a good album. I don’t like the dude on vocals. He sounds super flat, not helped by the below ... read more
So friggin hype, thank you sao airbridged for being super funny and well written and having me find this, we need more big music with post-hardcore and emo influence. it sucks I’ve not been able to find anything that replicates this sound.

Imagine an alternative timeline where the Nirvana cover and this swapped places. The world would be a very different place
Pretty solid underground butt Metal, pretty heavy and fun, very much seeped into Nu metal butt rock stereotypes but it’s fun and catchy and heavy and well put together for what it is. The hidden track is funny

I don’t really care for this era of music, but this is still a really touching song with good lyrics and I like the trumpets and horns use, very energetic overall. Of course the “hey” stuff I don’t care for but I don’t let it ruin a otherwise really good song
Extremely underrated album! Really neat radio metal with sick industrial metal elements in a few of the tracks and some less heavy tracks mixed in. Good riffage/drumming/and bass, a good singer/great songwriting, and an overall solid tracklist. The industrial songs are really dancy. The final track’s second half really shocked me and is a good finisher. The track Travesty is pretty proggy and psychedelic, and The Song has good art/symphonic rock stuff going on. The first track is super ... read more
As someone who enjoys these kinds of alt-rock/metal radio rock records this is a solid listen with some cool stuff. Though it didn’t do a ton that’s super unique, that isn’t bad. That’s my main issue is that as a whole experience the album sounds very similar across the board, especially its melodies. It’s like a samey soup. Not a bad soup, a pleasant solid eat but repetitive nonetheless. If you like Saturate by Breaking Benjamin you’ll love this it’s ... read more

Wow the Dean Evans soundtrack was really impressive and cool, who would have thought?
Definitely not as good as the Waterworld snes ost, but it be pretty hard to top that as it is one of the best soundtracks to a game during the 90’s but this is still solid. Atmospheric, epic, cool all that jazz. Nothing here sounds like a song from water world besides the water planet theme, but that song has more space elements added in so it fits with games ... read more
I would actually love to visit where the picture was taken, I wanna anime AMV run across the rooftops
This is a great, underrated rock album. If you love Post-Grunge you’ll really love this. If you like Creed, even more so (I don’t care for them that much but this is still great). The instrumentation is really solid. Album is full of heavy Hard Rock riffs and solos, drumming is nice, it just comes together to make a solid sound. The vocals are a softer, much younger and emotive ... read more
Such a big fucking improvement from Clumsy. The production is much better, the songs are much catchier, it feels way more well put together and cohesive compared to Clumsy. It’s a bit more intelligent and a bit artsier. It’s really great.
Thanks @NotEnoughRock for the recommendation! Sorry it took so long, and you’ll probably never see this since your account is inactive.
Really sick noisy Post-Hardcore record. I don’t listen to pure unfiltered Post-Hardcore but I still thought this was really cool. I like the different genres it taps into on occasion, like Dub, Punk, and Post-Punk. The two vocalists give this record some cool dynamics between songs even if I prefer Picciotto melodic vocals compared to MacKaye ... read more
I saw Chevelle in a concert a few weeks ago and it was awesome don’t know where else to put this
This review is gonna be shorter than my other as I don’t really know what much more to add to this that I’d didn’t with WWN
This a pretty good follow up to that, but I don’t think it hits the same highs as WWN, but it is a really solid Alternative Metal that I think is slightly more consistent than WWN. I don’t like the production as much as the first but ... read more
Thank you Alkmatt00 for the rec!
This is such an airtight and consistent Alt Rock/Metal EP. It’s only six tracks long, but it spends that time very well. Like, this was such a fun listen for me as someone who is really into these kinds of radio-ready bands from the 2000s. It’s nothing crazy or anything, and it does sound a lot like many of the other mainstream radio bands, and that’s certainly not a bad thing.
The vocals here are great. That’s not shocking due to the ... read more
Holy ass. My old review was so bad and not good, so I decided to do a re-review! Having to finally look at this album somewhat objectively without rose-tinted glasses! Yay! My old review was so bloated and genuinely embarrassing to read, and I felt like it deserved a more fair chance even if I didn’t enjoy this album nearly as much as I used to. Honestly calling this an album is generous, as it is a deluxe version of an EP that I'm pretty sure is lost media, but I was able to find ... read more
Awesome vibey British rock! Super deserving of all the praise it gets in my eyes. Has a really great amount of variety and experimentation and remains consistent in quality despite some often shallow lyrics and some…weird production and mixing choices. I think it works fine enough as is, but I can understand why people would fuckin hate it lol it is very amateurish and raw sounding even though it was probably intentional. Anyways the only track I didn’t care for is Bring It On ... read more

Not bad overall. I had a friend recommend this to me before I got this recommendation so had decent hopes going in and what I got was a decent, paint by numbers modern Nu Metal album. Nothing here really sticks out to me personally from a sound standpoint, BUT there are some nice riffs, and the drumming was pretty solid at times from what I could tell. The songwriting is occasionally catchy but not too crazy if I’m being honest. My main issues ... read more

Just getting this out of the way real quick, not a fan of how this sounds. So corny it hurts
